Multiple mailbox mischief
Morinville RCMP are currently investigating a rash of vandalism to rural mailboxes. The destruction of property occurred over the three-day period Aug. 5 – 7.

On Aug. 5 several Canada post mailboxes were damaged by vandals in the Dover Estates area near Calahoo. Although the boxes were damaged, no mail was taken in the incident.

RCMP also report that between Aug. 6 and 7, personal mailboxes in the Hwy. 37 and Range Road 262 area were vandalized. The RCMP believe mail was taken from the boxes in those instances.

Tire and rim theft in Gibbons
A work yard in the Gibbons industrial park was the target of thieves sometime between July 22 and 25.

Morinville RCMP report that someone gained access to a locked yard and made off with 17 Bridgestone tires and 14 Alcoa aluminium rims.

B&E in Sturgeon Valley
RCMP are looking for help in finding the person(s) who broke into a garage in Sturgeon Valley last month. Sometime between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m. on July 11, a vehicle parked in a driveway in the Manor Estates II area was broken into. The thieves then used the garage door opener that was in the car to gain access to the garage. The suspect(s) took several items, including tools and golf clubs.

RCMP report that no access was gained to the house.

Stolen quad
A Sturgeon County resident is short a 2007 Can-Am Outlander XT quad, stolen from where it was parked, next to a garage in the Range Road 275 and Township Road area near Calahoo. Morinville RCMP report the yellow ATV was taken sometime between Aug. 2 and Aug. 5
