Storage units found full of stolen property

St. Albert – Residents north of St. Albert who have had items stolen in the recent past may just have an opportunity to recover what was once theirs.

RCMP report that a search warrant was executed Aug. 26 on a storage facility located in the Campbell Business Park in St. Albert. The search revealed approximately $30,000 worth of property that RCMP believe was stolen from a number of small communities north of St. Albert. The recovered goods consists largely of assorted power tools.

St. Albert RCMP are asking anyone who believes they might have property among the stolen items to go to the St. Albert Detachment to identify their property.

Those making claims will have to provide information verifying their loss prior to looking at photos of the items alleged to have been stolen. Accepted information may include a police file number, a serial number or other identifying marks.

RCMP say the investigation is ongoing and charges are anticipated, but have not been laid at this time.
