Voter displeased with incumbent’s tact

Editor’s note: This letter to the editor is directed at mayoral candidate Lloyd Bertschi.

I was at the Forum on October 13th in Morinville. I was honestly impressed by what was spoken by you, your knowledge, your experience, your charisma, the way you answered questions. I do however think that it is disrespectful of you to roll your eyes when your competition is speaking (even if you do disagree with his opinions). Also a question at the end of the night was directed to Lisa Holmes and she did a great job answering this, however you felt the need to refute, when this wasn’t your place at the time, as you are a mayoral candidate and she is a town council candidate. The worst part in all of this is how condescending you were to Lisa Holmes when you called her “YOUNG LADY”, even when Joseph Trapani said seemingly untrue things about your reign as mayor; you did not speak condescendingly to him. So here I stand now, not having faith in either mayoral candidate; I am now going to have to choose to vote for the lesser of the two evils or I will have to choose not to vote at all. I believe that you owe Lisa Holmes a public apology and hopefully you will show the people of Morinville more respect than to roll your eyes at someone when you do not agree with what they are saying.
