Scholarships on ice
A former and current Morinville Jet received $500 each Sunday afternoon from Servus Credit Union Branch Manager Kevin Wunsch. The cheques were part of an annual scholarship program the local credit union has put in place for Jets who are furthering their education. The two recipients were selected after filling out an application and submitting essays on their community involvement and educational pursuits. The scholarships presented were for the 2009/2010 season and the recipients were former Jet Ben Lamer and current Jet Aaron Baumgartner. Servus Credit Union has committed to running the program for at least three years.
