Vipers take pounding on the road

Legal – The Vipers took it on the chin Saturday night, returning home from Slave Lake with their second loss of the season, a 7-1 upset at the hands of the 3-5-1 Winterhawks.

The defeat was the Vipers’ fifth game of the season and positioned them in fourth slot in the NCHL, one point behind the Winterhawks and four away from the second-placed Onoway Ice Dogs.

The Vipers take to home ice Wednesday night for their second outing of the season against the Ice Dogs. The last match up ended in a 10-1 upset for the Vipers.

Game time is 8:30 p.m. at the Legal Arena.
