RCMP seeking Gibbons robbery suspects

Gibbons – Yesterday afternoon’s robbery of the Gibbons ATB on 50 Avenue is the latest in a series of violent robberies that have occurred throughout the province.

RCMP are pleading for the public’s assistance for information leading to the arrest of Franklin Gladue and the other individuals who are believed to have committed seven robberies in the province since Nov. 30, 2010.

Police are concerned as the level of violence has apparently been increasing at each robbery. A sawed-off shot gun has been present at all of the robberies, along with a variety of other weapons. RCMP report during yesterday afternoon’s robbery in Gibbons, a teller was injured despite cooperating with the robbers.

RCMP are presently investigating the Gibbons robbery, believed by police to have been committed by Franklin William Gladue and accomplices. Gladue, 34 is believed to be in the Edmonton area. He is described as Aboriginal, 6 feet tall, 240 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has a number of tattoos including a picture of a clown on his left upper arm, the word “Eternal” on his right sleeve and the words “Solid Brother” and “F.G.” on his left abdomen.

Although the suspect’s accomplices are known to police, they are not being named as they are considered to be young offenders.

The first accomplice is described by RCMP as a slimly-built Aboriginal male, 5′ 10″ to 6′ tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds. He has a scar on his mouth under his lip and is believed to be from the Kehiwin First Nations. The second accomplice is described as a medium-built Aboriginal male, 5′ 10″ to 6′ 01″ tall and weighing approximately 183 pounds. He is identified as having short black hair and brown eyes and may be wearing glasses. He is believed to be from the Samson Reserve.

These suspects are to be considered armed and dangerous and the public are asked to call any law enforcement agency with information about these criminals as it is important for the safety of the public to have these persons arrested as soon as possible.
