Morinville – Real Canadian Wrestling brought their RCW Explosion event to the Morinville Events Centre Friday night, giving wrestling fans more than two hours of ring and ropes action co-sponsored by Smokin’ Joe’s Roadhouse.

The RCW event was the first stop in Morinville in several years and brought wrestling fans 10 bouts of wrestling heroes and villains battling it out for RCW dominance.

The show opened with villain Steven Styles taking on a much smaller Kevin Sane, a size differential that did not go in Sane’s favour as the green-clad wrestler was tossed around the ring like a rag doll.

The second bout pitted the arrogant and self-centered Jack Stacks against former Morinville resident Sgt. Hazard. Jacks arrival in the ring was followed by a two minute dressing down of Morinville as being beneath Stack’s greatness. To the pleasure of the home town crowd, the home town hero Hazard put Stacks in his place with a three count and considerable pain.

Although the victor in his opening match, Hazard went on to be defeated later in the evening by T-Bone in a Triple Threat Match that included Steven Styles.

In the penultimate event of the night, RCW Mid-Heavyweight Title holder Heavy Metal defeated Cam!kaze to retain the belt. Metal earned his belt after defeating William Saint in a gruelling cage match in Wetaskiwin.
RCW Explosion ended with a four way match for the RCW Canadian Heavyweight Title. In that bout, Big Jess defeated Brandon Van Danielson, Andrew Hawks and Dylan Knight.

Other winners and losers of the evening were as follows:

Jordyn Brooks defeated Illena
Ugg defeated The Nightmares (2 & 4) in a handicap match
Scotley Crue and Alex Plexis (the Sex & Flex Connection) defeated Brady Roberts and Scotty Putty (Flex on the Beach)
T-Bone defeated Hollywood Dusty Adonis.
‎Ravenous Randy Myers and Chris Steele went to a double count out.

RCW will be back in Morinville Apr. 30 for more RCW action at the Morinville Events Centre.
