Morinville Trade Show has solid opening night

The Morinville & District Chamber of Commerce’s annual Share the Secret Trade Show kicked off Friday night with approximately 275 residents passing through the gates to see what the community has to offer in products and services.

In addition to an arena and curling rink filled to capacity with local businesses, visitors to the show had an opportunity to see a variety of entertainment. The evening started with the singing of O Canada in English led by the Notre Dame Choir and followed in French by the choir from Georges P. Vanier School. After the official ribbon cutting by Mayor Lloyd Bertschi, visitors were treated to a performance by singers and dancers from Alexander First Nation. Another Alexander entertainer was Nathaniel Arcand, star of Heartland and Blackstone. arcand will be a special guest of the trade show throughout the weekend.

The show continues Saturday 10 – 5 and Sunday 10 – 4.
