Last week’s summer-like weather brought people out and about in Morinville to pitch-in, celebrate and just generally get about. A milestone of a birthday Mayor Lloyd Bertschi had the honour of presenting Ms. Dora Nadon with a certificate commemorating her 103rd birthday May 11. The mini ceremony took place at Aspen Hose where Ms. Nadon is a resident. The mayor remarked to the birthday girl that this was Morinville’s centennial year and that the date or her birth preceded the incorporation of the town by three years. Ms. Nadon’s family spent the day with her, having a family barbecue in honour of her birthday.
