Legal – Rain and the threat of rain may have shifted much of this year’s Fête au Village indoors, but the inclement weather did not dampen the spirits of the crowds who came out for the annual event.

The day started bright and early for the 50 outdoor enthusiasts who participated in the Fête au village fun Run, Walk or Ride, sponsored by the running room. Participants had the choice of a 3 kilometre or 5 km run, taking them along Legal’s scenic trail system.

Although the quarter Carnival, beer garden, children’s entertainment and pony rides were shifted inside the arena, it still drew the same enthusiasm from participants as in previous years.

The same could be said for the annual demolition derby which still saw hundreds of crash car fans grabbing their spots around the pit bright and early.
