Morinville – The Morinville Public Library hosted the first of its Centennial Author Series Thursday night with Andrew Foley, co-author of Cowboys and Aliens, the graphic novel on which the blockbuster summer movie with Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford is based. Foley was joined by comic and pop culture expert Jay Bardyla and artists Daniel Schneider and Kyle Sams. The foursome presented nearly two hours of insight into the comic book process from idea to finished product as well as some of the steps from printed page to movie screen.

Future events in the series will include a writers workshop with Marty Chan and Jessica Kluthe in September and a visit from mystery novelist Janice MacDonald in October. Other events are planned in the series, all made possible with a Centennial grant from the Town of Morinville.
