Sturgeon County – Halloween came early this year for children and families who participated in the inaugural edition of Boo at the Barn, a Halloween-themed afternoon of spooky fun, tricks and treats put on by the Morinville Centennial Committee at the Sturgeon Agriplex.

A number of local groups came together to set up booths and activities for children and their parents who took advantage of a beautiful fall day to come out and enjoy the colours of the season while celebrating Halloween a few weeks early.
In addition to providing a new activity for local families, the event also raised revenues for the Morinville Food Bank Society. A food collection was taken at the door, and the $5 admission fee people paid will also be donated to the charity. Amounts raised were not available by press deadline.
