Looking to lose
Morinville Curves Customers Leanne Boissonnault, Jennifer Flynn and Lisa Sansterre reported their successes and challenges at the Information Meeting held Jan 9. They also received Certificates of Achievement. Not all eligible recipients were able to attend the event. “The Curves Life Support Group help each other ,”said Marg Girard, Curves manager, who is hosting a second 90-Day Biggest Loser Challenge. Boissonnault said she did it for her and her kids. She won the last challenge and now has the good basics of weight loss, and is looking forward to continue to the next challenge. Sansterre will also sign up again. She said she needs her coach. Everything is very helpful and keeps her motivated. Girard lost 21 pounds and by the end of January will have lost 24 lbs. New people signed up for the program Jan. 9 and all are to start the new year with a healthier momentum. – Lucie Roy Photo
Lucien Beaupre, who has been with the Town of Morinville for the past nine years, was given a grand send-off Jan. 6 with a retirement party. That retirement party was followed with a more formal presentation during Morinville Town Council’s Jan. 10 meeting. Mr. Beaupre, well-known in Morinville for his involvement with the Royal Canadian Legion, was presented a certificate from Mayor Lloyd Bertschi, and had his photo taken with all of council.
Off to Afghanistan
