Our cameras caught plenty of action around Morinville this week. Here’s some folks who paused for our lenses.


Youth Darts
Makayla Himschoot was practicing her darts on Tuesday night at the Morinville Legion.


The Price Is Right
Heritage Lodge head housekeeper Gloria Ashton played the part of Janice, one of the models from the show The Price is Right, at Heritage Lodge on Tuesday afternoon. Resident Stan Kaminski was the next player up on the Price is Right. Stan was from LA (Leduc, Alberta) and was in Hollywood (Heritage Lodge).The part of Bob Barker was played by Lodge Program Coordinator Mary Benson and head housekeeper Gloria Ashton was one of the models. The Plinko board is seen in photo.


Trophy time
Morinville Fish & Game Fishing Chair Miles Allan was dusting off the fishing trophy for the upcoming 6th Annual Bob Foster Kids Fun Fishing Day to be held Sunday Feb. 19 at the Morinville Fish & Game meeting on Tuesday night. Miles said the free event will include the hot chocolate, coffee, hot dogs and treat bags as in the past. The only change this year is in the hours – it will run from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. This is also an opportunity to pick up information from the various displays, to have antlers measured, join the club or speak to club members. The event is open to everyone and is held at the Fish & Game Association pond and cabin located at 10710-107 Street, north of the Skyline Ball Diamonds.


AGM time
Seniors’ Rendez-Vous Centre President Carol Kaup gave her president’s report to the approximately 45 members during the Annual General meeting held Wednesday afternoon.


For queen and country
Sharon Beaumont poses with a solar queens, one of the many door prizes to be won at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations to be held Feb. 20 at the Morinville Legion. The guest of honour is the Honourable Ken Kowalski and wife Kristina. A presentation will take place at 1:30 p.m. and the afternoon event, running from 1 to 4 p.m. will include
displays, cake cutting, pins, and a limited souvenir booklets. The event is open to all ages.
