Oil field equipment stolen

Sturgeon County – RCMP are looking for help in uncovering who stole some oilfield equipment early this week. The Morinville Detachment received a complaint on the afternoon of Feb. 7 that equipment had been taken from a well site located at Range Road 241 and Township Road 564. The complainant advised police it was their opinion the equipment was probably stolen around 3 a.m. that morning.

Stolen were an explosion proof heater and a set of starting cables specially designed for the equipment on site. The value of the stole equipment is estimated at $1,300.

Morinville RCMP are asking the public for help in solving this crime. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Detachment at 780-939-4520, or if they wish to remain anonymous, they can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
