Cowboys for a day

A day of prayer
Heritage Place Lodge residents, visitors and friends all sat together in the Lodge dining room for the World Day of Prayer held Friday afternoon. More than 40 attended the event for an afternoon of prayer and to hear the Morinville Minstrels perform. The theme this year was Let Justice Prevail and the featured country was Malaysia. The event was a partnership between United Church, Anglicans and Catholics. Priest Allan Bonertz speaking on behalf of the Anglicans and Father Ignacy spoke on behalf of the Catholics. A bear market
Ashley Enns was having with one of the gift wreaths for babies from the Bear Butt’N’s Boutique at the Notre Dame Parent Fundraising Association’s Home Business Expo held at Notre Dame Catholic Elementary School Saturday. The Parent Fundraising Association is raising funds to purchase books for all grades. The estimated cost is $5,000. – Lucie Roy Photo


Dog Day Afternoon
Noah’s Ark Pets and Supplies owner Tammy Frieze (left) and SCARS Foster Home supervisor Leslie Pepin pose with Peggy and Nuge, two of several dogs that were brought to the local pet shop Saturday afternoon.
