Police looking for suspect who struck security guard

Gibbons – A security guard who spotted a break-in in progress received a knock on her head by someone police believe was involved in the robbery.

RCMP were called to the Riverside Pointe condominium building in Gibbons early Sunday morning Mar. 11.

The female security guard discovered a vehicle break-in progress and verbally confronted one of the males involved. The security guard was struck in the head from behind and knocked out by a second male. She suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries as a result of the assault and is recovering.

Police say one suspect is described as being a slender white male between five-foot-eleven and six-feet tall. He was reported as having short, spiky brown hair and wearing a red t-shirt and blue jeans.
