Police looking for info on suspicious activities

Morinville – RCMP are reporting numerous complaints over the weekend of suspicious individuals looking into parked cars.

In all complaints received by police, witnesses report seeing the suspicious individuals leaving in a red, mid-sized dodge pickup truck.

RCMP are reminding Morinville residents to remove all valuables from their vehicles and to keep their vehicles locked when unattended. Police say residents can minimize their chances of being a victim by keeping all car doors and windows closed and locked, not leaving valuables or packages in plain sight in their vehicles, and parking their vehicles in an area that is visible to the public and well-lit at night

Police are asking residents to be on the lookout for suspicious activites someone looking into parked cars, the sound of breaking glass or a car alarm which could mean a vehicle break-in, and any vehicles without lights at night, cruising slowly, or following a course that seems aimless or repetitive is suspicious in any location.

Police are asking those who witness suspicious activities to call the Morinville RCMP detachment at 780-939-4550.
