Tiny Totz Café offers moms a break and kids a treat

By Lucie Roy

Morinville – The Tiny Totz Café Grand Opening was a welcome treat to the many adults and children gathered there last week. Open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 10-8 and Sunday from 2-8 it is an opportunity to meet and relax while the kids are at play.

The diversified venue has it all: a large play area for the kids, a place for adults to have a treat from the deli, specialty coffee, a party area available for booking for birthdays or other occasions and they will feature the indoor bouncy castle once a week. There are also toys and clothing for a unique shopping experience.

The indoor recreation and play area provides for hours of fun on safe and sturdy equipment and ride-on toys that lets children practice their balance and agility, while letting them get out all that bottled-up energy. It is a chance for mothers to gather and discuss topics that are important to the stage of the life they are in with their children. Moms with older children can sit and talk beside moms with toddlers, mothers of infants can relate to the all-night feedings and sibling issues, and all moms are invited to make new friends.

The shoeless café has a minimal entrance fee of $3 per child but those under a year of age are admitted free.

Owner Amanda Jepson has many exciting programs and events for the venue: craft days, bouncy castle, music time, and drop in babysitting for Curves clients, painting, Totz yoga and more. She said they offer party packages for those renting the space for birthday parties or other occasions. A customer can rent a space equipped to accommodate up to eight to 10 children and can include full access to the play area. They have numerous party themes and extras including face painting, piñata and balloon sculpting.

Located in the former Movie Time Store at 9608-100 Street they are ideally situated close to the down town core.
