A concrete proposition
Lefarge employees do a little sidewalk repair in front of the Morinville Community Cultural Centre Tuesday morning. This spring will see some changes to the centre’s parking lot to better designate high school and cultural centre parking as well as improve traffic flow to and from the facility. – Stephen Dafoe Photo


Raffle time
Valerie Daly with the Morinville Tiny Tots Preschool was at Sobeys selling raffle tickets Tuesday afternoon. The tickets give purchasers an opportunity at the grand prize of $5,000 as well as second and third prizes of $1,000 and $500. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Proceeds will go towards purchasing a new school building. The draw is to be held May 31. – Stephen Dafoe Photo

Dog days of May
A dog enjoys a stroll through a field along the Morinville trails Tuesday afternoon. May began with a solid day of warm weather. The remainder of the week calls for sunny days Wednesday and Thursday followed by rain Friday and Saturday. – Stephen Dafoe Photo


Everything’s ducky
A female mallard sits on the shoreline of the Morinville fish and Game Association pond. The return of ducks and geese to the area is a sure sign warm weather is here to stay. with mallards and geese nesting in the area we are weeks away from watching ducklings and goslings swimming around the pond are. – Stephen Dafoe Photo
