Teen assaulted walking home

Morinville – A 15-year-old male who was walking home from school Thursday at approximately 12:30 p.m. was followed by what is believed to be an older model black Honda Civic with four occupants. The suspects all got out of the vehicle on 87 Avenue near 95 Street and approached the victim. One of the suspects threw the victim to the ground and stepped on the his chest. The motive of the attack is still unknown at this point.

The Morinville RCMP is asking anyone who may have been around the area and noticed a black Honda Civic with four individuals to contact the police immediately.

Three of the suspects were described as Caucasians and one of Asian descent. All four men are described as being in their early 20s and of average build. The vehicle had tinted windows.

Morinville RCMP are asking for the help of the public in solving this crime. Anyone with information is asked to call the Morinville RCMP at 780-939-4520 or if they wish to remain anonymous they can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

  1. That’s horrible! In broad daylight. Sounds like gang BS. We need to find out who these punks are and chase out of town. Hope the kid is alright! That’s traumatizing 🙁

  2. This is HORRIBLE! The absence of this type of thing is a good part of the reason why many people move to this great community!

    I REALLY hope these idiots ARE in their ‘early 20’s’ as the article suggests, as they would not be ‘youth offenders’ and would be fully prosecuted for battery. Ganging up with 4 adults on one kid, we definitely don’t need losers like that in town. My condolences to the teenager involved, I hope he is okay.
