Here is an update to this Association. We were able to retain the program as a current Block Parent, Jackie Luker, stepped up to Vice-Chair and new Block Parent Cassie Adams took on Secretary. I am the new Chair/Treasurer.
We were extremely pleased with the public response we received from the online and print articles. There were eight people at our meeting on May 2nd, a record for the past few years.
We look forward to expanding the program in Morinville and Cardiff. In 2000 there were almost 100 Block Parents in Morinville! We strive to have a Block Parent on each street.
I will be attending the Alberta Block Parents AGM this upcoming Saturday* and hope to bring back new, modern material and ideas to our local program.
