Morinville – Integra Tire had some high powered help in showing the benefits of Firestone and Bridgestone tires Thursday afternoon; the presence of the Bridgestone and Firestone Performance Trailer, a long box full of racing vehicles sure to whet the appetites of motoring fans.

The showcase of the piece was Indy driver Scott Dixon’s 2005 Indy car, now retired and travelling as part of the promotional tour. Alongside the former Indy car was a 2007 Aston Martin V8, a car familiar from James Bond movies. The car is one of 1,879 made in 2007 and has only been driven in Indianapolis.

Dale Jessup, who brought the performance trailer to town, said they travel with the racing vehicles from the end of May until the end of September from St. Johns Newfoundland to Vancouver. “It’s an incentive program for Bridgestone / firestone dealers that sell their tires,” he said. “If they sell a certain amount of tires, they qualify to have this show at their dealership.”

In addition to the two high-end vehicles, the road show brought along a race similar, Jessup said simulated the conditions Indy car drivers race under.

Integra Tire owners Tracey and Tony Lopaschuk, in addition to making the racing vehicles available to their customers and visitors, also opened their parking lot to the Morinville Food Bank Society. The business purchased the supplies for a barbecue with proceeds going to the local charity.
