Getting acquainted
Bob Burry, his wife Tina and son Sam were welcomed to the Georges H. Primeau School family by Librarian Leanne LaRocque. The Burry family moved to Morinville in July from Brandon, Manitoba and attended the Meet the Staff Supper Night held at the school Wednesday night where it was anticipated some 700 parents, students and staff were to gather.

The parents and students packed the gymnasium for the presentation from Primeau School Principal Vic Pedersen and Greater St. Albert Catholic School Superintendent David Keohane. To date there are 476 students registered at Primeau: 114 in Grade 5, 109 in Grade 6, 123 in Grade 7 and 130 in Grade 8. Grades 6 to 8 have 100 more students than last year.

All hands on deck
On Wednesday afternoon Lions Club member Francis Fryters was working on the wood skirting to be placed around the deck at the Morinville Teen Centre. Skirting is to also be repaired around the building. The Lions Club also planted many new bushes and shrubs in the Lions Park. The park enhancement was made possible with assistance from the Town of Morinville Community Grant.
