By Morinville News Staff

Morinville – Police are reporting a rash of vandalism in the area of 95 Street and 97 Avenue that occurred in the overnight house of Oct. 11. RCMP say sometime between 11 p.m. Oct. 10 and 6:30 a.m. Oct. 11 an unknown individual or individuals used a pellet gun to shoot at random houses.

The pellets caused damage to both windows and siding of the neighbourhood homes.

This is the third incident of vandalism and mischief in this area since the summer. In late June 102 Street in the area of 95 to 97 Avenue was blanketed with spray-painted graffiti, and in mid-September a trailer was spray painted with the words Six Shooters in the 95 Avenue and 96 Street area of Morinville.

Morinville RCMP are asking the public for help in solving this crime. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Morinville RCMP at 780-939-4520 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
