Signs of the season
Election signs are visible around the town of Legal. All six candidates have staked out a spot in front of the Post Office.
The Legal by-election is set to take place Dec. 3. Six residents have put their name forward for two vacant council seats. Throwing their hats in the ring are Yvonne Bilodeau (Cyr), Curtis J. Epp, Kurtis Hauptman, Florence Lamb, Shealene Page, Joey Seitz, Ron Sharma and Carol Tremblay.
A by-election forum will be held at Legal School Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. – a week before the Dec. 3 election. Polling stations will be open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the Citadel Centre. – Lucie Roy Photo
Titans talk
Legal School student leader Luke Jaffray was having a good time listening to Father Mike Dechant of Greater St Albert Catholic Schools Oblate Youth Ministries. Father Mike spoke Wednesday morning at the Titans’ SPRR (Safe, Proud, Respect and Responsible) Retreat.
Wednesday activities focused on the Safe theme of the program and dealt with how students care for one another. All aspects of the program involve older students mentoring younger students through the activities. Morinville Community High School students will be taking part early next year. – Lucie Roy Photo

More than one way to heat a home
Heritage Lodge residents Bunny Cooper and Violet Lacroix heat things up by working on more blankets Nov. 20. A fall craft project has spilled over into the holiday season. The Lodge and Quinn’s Plumbing and Heating have teamed together to bring joy and kind-heartedness to our community. Snow much fun
Grace Haynes and Madison Wall fill their first two cups of Snowman Soup ready during a lunch hour work bee Wednesday. The students prepared 800 mugs of Snowman Soup to hand out to adults along the parade route Saturday evening.
