Sturgeon Minor Hockey Player of the Week: Kellar Greff

COACH KENT SWANSON WRITES:

Kellar Greff, an emerging leader:

On a team made up of all first year novice players, and many first year hockey players, Kellar Greff has shown signs of being a true leader on the SHC Novice 3A Mustangs. His outstanding work ethic and positive attitude makes him a joy to coach. During a recent game, we were short players, and only had 3 defence men. Although Kellar had never played defence before, he was willing to put his team first and played the entire game at defence. He quickly learned his position, and made numerous responsible defensive plays during the game, along with timely offensive rushes, giving his team a chance to win. He always made sure to congratulate his goalie after a big save, and always gave his goalie a tap on the pads after the team got scored on, just as a seasoned defence man would do. Keep up the great work, Kellar!
