Battle of the Boxes competion – Video
The Battle of the Boxes challenge took place over the holidays. Families and businesses used recyclable materials and transformed them into artistic and functional creations. Those works of creativity are at the Morinville Community Library Jan. 7 – 12, a time during which patrons and residents can vote on their favourites.
A fit challenge
Ecole Notre Dame Elementary School student Daniella McKinnon works her way through the five stations of the Mission Impossible fitness course Monday morning.
The five stations are aimed at teaching agility, balance, flexibility, co-ordination, strength and patience. The school’s physical education teacher, Tina McKinnon, said the program, which runs over the next two weeks, is mental, physical and also teaches social skills as the students must cooperate. – Lucie Roy Photos
