Tabs for a cause
Tamara Deib added to her collection of can tabs at the Morinville Lions Club Jan. 28. Deib started collecting the tabs last summer and increased her efforts in November, collecting them at school and around Morinville. The tabs are collected by the Lions Club and used towards the purchase of wheelchairs. The young lady’s presentation was made during the District 37L Zone 3A meeting before Lions members from Busby and District, Vimy and District, Legal, Morinville, Zone Chair Suzanne Prefontaine and 2nd Vice District Governor Bob Hunter. Deib presented the almost 20 pounds worth of tabs to the Lions.
Snow going
Street cleaning took place on 102 Street Monday morning. Although temperatures are set to drop over the next couple of days, snowfall will be minimal.
