The Howells family enjoy a little tobogganing on the ravine hill off Grandin Drive Sunday afternoon. The colourful and inflatable tobogans were a hit on the hill.

Word on the street
Light poles are becoming a popular place to let people know what’s going on in town. The light pole outside Shotgun Sally’s on the corner of 100 Avenue and 100 Street informs us of last week’s Grad Benefit Concert and that the Alberta Street News is now being sold at Westmor Landing across from Tim Horton’s.

What’s happening this week

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
A pancake supper will be served Sept. 12 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m at the Morinville Rendez-Vous Centre (9913 104 Street). $5 a head. 5 and under is free. Everyone welcome.

Council meets
Morinville Town Council meet Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. in Council Chambers. Relatively light agenda this week included Morinville Community Cultural Centre fees and a piece on code of conduct. Full agenda package available for download at Morinville.ca

Blues for lovers

Singer Suzie Vinnick will be performing a Valentine’s Day show at the Morinville Community Cultural Centre Feb. 14. Tickets include a meal catered by Chef Douglas Adsit, owner of the Green Bean.
