Sturgeon County – A phone call regarding suspicious activity resulted in the arrest of two men Friday morning. Morinville RCMP received a complaint of a possible break and enter in progress in the area of Township Road 550 and Range Road 254 in Sturgeon County around 11:40 a.m. Feb. 22. The caller indicated some people, believed not to be property owners, were loading property into a u-haul.

RCMP officers arrived, investigated and arrested a 36-year-old male from Lamont and a 44-year-old male from Edmonton, both of whom were charged with break and enter and theft.

Seized at the scene were 12 vehicle radiators. Police are asking residents to contact the Morinville Detachment at 780-939-4550 if they had one or more stolen.

Morinville RCMP said the arrests were an example of the importance of reporting suspicious activities to police because it could lead to an arrest, recovery of stolen property, or the seizure of illegal drugs.
