Legal – The Wild Pink Yonder is a Charitable Society raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness while travelling on horseback through 21 towns in 23 days. Every town along the Pink Trail is challenged to raise more money per capita than the others and to be the pinkest town when the riders come through town.

Legal got into the pink of things Saturday. Legal & District Chamber of Commerce Wild Pink Yonder Committee members Carol Tremblay, Charlene Evans, Cindy and Don Mann and Kareen Tucci sold pink ribbons, barrettes and other items and were spreading the word on the initiative. Keeping with the theme, pamphlets for the garage sale were printed in pink, the Legal-Lerie was been published in pink, and there were even pink pancakes for breakfast. Other activities are scheduled from now till the end of August when the riders come through Legal.

This year’s tour begins in the Peace Country at Hythe on August 9 and will travel through Athabasca, Westlock, Clyde, Legal, Bon Accord and Gibbons. Riders are set to arrive in Legal on the evening of August 29.

The Pinkest Little Town in the West will win a free music concert plus bragging rights in the form of a seven by three foot highway sign. Legal also has a wall of Hope and Memory placed on the Legal Lions message board for people to leave a memento of a loved one.
