It’s her special-tea
Noreen Radford was explaining the story behind YiXing teapots to Wendy Pyesmany and Karen Wing Thursday afternoon at Vintage Petals Tea House. Radford learned about these special teapots when she was in Vancouver and purchased her own. The unique handmade one of a kind teapots are made with a zisha clay, hold heat longer and are meant for individual use with the same flavour of tea. Radford says she uses hers for Cream Earl Grey tea and every time she uses the teapot it absorbs a tiny amount of the tea’s aroma and seasons the pot. The teapot is not to be washed. After several uses just adding hot water provides you with a nice pot of tea. There was also information on the look back at weird food fads and a handout on nine myths about tea. – Lucie Roy Photo
