A marketable event

Legal resident Lorraine Nobbs was places some of her crocheted children’s hats on the styrofoam heads in preparation for her display at the first Legal Farmers’ Market Thursday. Nobbs had table centerpieces, Afghans, hot pads for kitchen pots and shopping bags for sale.

Legal Farmers’ Market Manager Alberta White said she was expecting more than 10 vendors for their first market. The Legal Farmers’ Market takes place every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. until Sept. 12. The market takes place at the Gazebo in Citadel Park or in the arena in the event of bad weather. – Lucie Roy Photo
