Letter: Legal ready to welcome pink trail riders

Dear Editor:

Legal’s Pink Trail would like to notify a change of venue on August 29th for the Welcoming of the Wild Pink Yonder. Get ‘Pinkified’ and Welcome the Wild Pink Yonder.

Help us welcome the trail riders, enter the rubber ducky race and come enjoy dinner and entertainment. Legal is vying to be “Pinkest Little Town in the West” in support of the Wild Pink Yonder Society for Breast Cancer Research during their annual 500-km trail ride.

Legal welcomes the Wild Pink Yonder trail riders on Thursday, Aug. 29 at 5 p.m. as they parade down Main Street, riding down Legal’s Pink Trail. A Pink Rubber Ducky Race will be held on Main Street at approximately 5 p.m. First duck to the bottom of the trail wins half the pot.

Purchase your ducks ($5) by calling 780-999-7586 or visit Legal’s Town Office or Big Mouth McGees’s.

Original plans called for a cabaret, featuring Shane Chisholm, Alee and Elvis Tribute Artist Rick Johnsen. Due to lack of pre-purchase orders, the cabaret has been cancelled. Instead, we look forward to a family-friendly evening at the Legal Community Hall. Doors open at 6 p.m., supper at 6:30; entertainment by “Elvis” and “Loretta Lynn” at 8:30 p.m. and silent auction throughout the evening.

Meal and entertainment tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children and seniors.
Reserve seating by calling 780-999-7586.
