Digging a hole for themselves
Public works set up shop on the corner of 100 Avenue and Grandin Drive Tuesday for some underground maintenance work. The work crews did not cause any major blockages for motorists or pedestrians on the first day after the unofficial end of summer. – Stephen Dafoe Photo

Scribbage anyone?
A trio of card sharks enjoy a game of Scribbage, a derivative version of Cribbage, at Higher Grounds Espresso bar on 100 Avenue Tuesday afternoon. The coffee shop will host a cribbage tournament Friday evening. volunteer Manager Crystal Terhort said Tuesday there were still slots open for three teams. the $10 team entry fee will be donated to the Jessica Martel Memorial Foundation.
