Morinville — Internationally acclaimed musician, songwriter and comedian Norman Foote will be in Town Nov. 14 for a 7 p.m. show at the Morinville Community Cultural Centre. Tickets for the show, sponsored by Servus Credit Union, are $10 per seat.

Cultural Services Manager Laurie Stalker is pleased to have the Juno Award-nominated performer coming to the Cultural Centre stage.

“He started out with a guitar as a kid and developed a love of puppetry and comedy, but still kept singing and decided a combination of the three would be his life’s career,” Stalker said. “He’s continued to perform with great success. He’s done shows with symphonies and other groups.”

In Morinville, Foote will be accompanied by Grade 1 and 2 students from Ècole Notre Dame Elementary School and Morinville Public Elementary School. “They’re going to have a rehearsal with him Thursday afternoon, though they are preparing now,” she said. “For me, that’s the best part, that we get our own kids up there.”
Sponsor Servus Credit Union will have some additional activities planned prior to the 7 p.m. show for children attending the event.

Stalker points out although children are involved; Foote’s show has something for all ages. The performer engages his audience regardless of their age.

Tickets for the show are $10 per seat and available at the Morinville Community Cultural Centre box office, Servus Credit Union on 100 Avenue or at the door the evening of the show. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 14.
