Saturday’s inaugural Amazing Race was deemed a success by organizers and participants. Twenty-two teams made up of 99 participants took part in the competition that began and ended at the Morinville Community Cultural Centre. Between the start and finish line, participants had to compete in a combination of physical and mental exercises at St. Jean Baptiste Park, the Morinville Community Library, Heritage Place Lodge, the Rotary Splash Park, Morinville Outdoor Arena and the cultural centre itself.

The Campbell family of Morinville earned first place with a finishing time of 55 minutes. The Campbells were followed quickly behind by the Strang family. Third place went ot the Anderson family.
