The Morinville Fire Department, EMT and police were called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision on 100 Street and 96 Avenue (across from Drayden Insurance) at approximately 4:49 p.m. during the afternoon commute.

Witnesses on the scene who posted on social media say a woman was removed from one of the vehicles and treated. Although a patient was treated on the scene, the gender and condition of the patient was not known as of our deadline.

Wednesday afternoon’s collision follows a day after a 7-year-old cyclist rode his bike onto the road from behind a parked vehicle and struck the side of a moving pickup that was traveling West on 99 street at low speed. In that collision, the boy was transported to hospital for examination with non life threatening injuries.

We will bring any further details on Wednesday afternoon’s collision when they are available.
