On Tuesday afternoon some of the residents of Aspen House gathered for a Penny Auction. Cathy Benson, Recreation Therapy Aid (RTA) provided those in attendance with twenty five pennies each they could use to bid with.

On Tuesday night volunteers and members of the Morinville Centennial Community Gardens Society (MCCGS) gathered at Champlain Heights Park and started preparing the public areas of the gardens and tool shed for the winter.

GH Primeau Library Technician Leanne LaRocque introduced former student and best-selling author Jessica Kluthe to students who had an opportunity to hear her speak and provide a workshop on writing. Kluthe is currently teaching Advanced Business Writing and Publishing Prose at MacEwan University.
Zachary Meister working on the handles and learning the art of Archery Bow Construction. Morinville Community High School (MCHS) held their Personal Achievement and Continuing Knowledge(PACK) Day on Friday giving students from grade 9-12 an opportunity to explore new learning opportunities or receive extra help in some class work. More than 70 sessions were offered.

On Wednesday Principal Allan Menduk fulfilled the challenge and was wearing a tutu and tiara because students met their Terry Fox Run goals.
The 2nd Annual Fred Scharmann Memorial Hiking Trip with 21 students and teacher Greg Boutestein departed Sept. 24. The three day hiking is held in the best trails of the Alberta Rockies in Banff National Park.
