The Morinville and District Chamber of Commerce have a new administrator. Diane M. Dills-Mineault left her position with the Chamber in Innisfail on Friday and took over her new post in Morinville on Monday. In a Sept. 30 email to Chamber members Dills-Mineault said she has been heavily involved for the past 30 years in Chamber activities throughout British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. “I have held this position in three other Chambers and have sat on the Board of Directors in many other towns,” she wrote, adding her background is in community newspapers, tourism, magazine publishing and community programming.

The new administrator said she would be contacting members over the next month regarding the Community Phone book and other Chamber matters.

Chamber President Simon Boersma introduced Dills-Mineault to about 30 Chamber members who attended the Oct. 1 luncheon. Prior to the meeting Boersma said Dills-Mineault comes on board already familiar with Chamber policies and opportunities. “It’ll give strength to our Chamber,” Boersma said of the appointment. “I think we have a breath of fresh air again so we can all breathe again and run our businesses. We are able to now run a proper Chamber with a full compliment.”

Dills-Mineault joins Monique VanRooyen who looks after Chamber accounting and Maureen Sinclair who looks after the Visitor Information Centre.
