For the 17th consecutive year, Coach’s Corner opened its doors for the Annual Santa Store Auction Nov. 22.

The annual fundraiser drew a slightly smaller crowd of people looking to place their bids in aid of the Midstream Support Society’s Santa Store.

Last year’s event raised more than $22,765 for a community program that ensures low-income families are able to provide a Christmas for their children.

Despite the lower turnout this year, the event raised $17,765 through aution items, cash donations, and a 50/50 draw.

Big ticket items this year included Lot # 69, catered dinner for eight from Green Bean Chef Doug Adsit, and
wine pairings from Lawrence Giffin of Coaches Corner. The package went for $1200.

Other high-bid items included $900 for a massage a month from Morinville Physiotherapy, $850 for a silver necklace from
J.M. Turner Goldsmith, and $1300 for Oil Kings sky box tickets for 10, plus two parking
passes.
