Police seek assistance in Bon Accord Mac’s store robbery

Morinville RCMP responded to a call at the Bon Accord Mac’s convenience store May 19 at approximately 10:10 p.m., where a lone male entered and robbed the store at gun point.

The lone Caucasian male entered the Mac’s store brandishing a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The male was wearing all black and had his face covered, except for eyes, with a black bandana. The male entered the till area where he pointed the handgun at the clerk, pushed him out of the way, and was able to gain access to 2 tills where an undisclosed amount of money was taken. The money stolen was in bills and coins. The male then left the store and ran North into the town of Bon Accord.

Morinville RCMP along with Traffic Services were on scene within minutes of the call but the male was not located.

The male is described as 5’9” – 5’10”, weighing 160 to 170 lbs. He is in his early- to mid-20s with short blonde hair and blue eyes.

The weapon is described as a black and silver handgun.

The Morinville RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in locating the offender.
