NCABL’s Ken Schultz award presented locally

The North Central Alberta Baseball League’s Ken Schultz Memorial Award was presented to the Craig faily of Morinville last weekend. The award was presented posthumously to Bert Craig, and to his son Bob, who lives in Morinville, for their support of senior baseball. Bert Craig is recognized for playing a strong role in the formation of the Morinville Manufacturers, a team that changed their name to the Morinville Merchants in 1980. Bob Craig was recognized for continuing in his father’s footsteps in supporting the senior team from 1975 to 1985. The league also recognized Elaine Craig for her role as a founding executive member of the Morinville Minor Baseball Association.
