The Town of Morinville currently has nine vacancies on three of its boards, according to information requested by Morinville News Thursday afternoon.
Vacancies are present on the Town’s Municipal Planning Commission (2), Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (2), and Library Board (5).
Morinville Community Library Manager Isabelle Cramp said the library currently has six trustees, but one members appointment is coming up for possible renewal in October. Although that member is intending to reapply, it creates five vacancies on the 10-member board.
“We are looking for people with a passion for libraries and a love of community,” Cramp said, adding they would like to attract someone with a financial background as they have a vacancy for treasurer.
Application packages are available on the Town’s website at Morinville.ca or at the Town office.
Deadline for application is Oct. 13 at 2 p.m.
