The 3rd Annual Oktoberfest celebration of German heritage and culture was held Friday night at the Morinville Community Cultural Centre before a packed audience. The event included a buffet, crafts, displays, Vinok Worlddance dancers and the Brabec Brothers Bavarian Band.

The Morinville Festival Society held their annual Food and Jam Festival Saturday. Cooler weather prompted the Society to move the event indoors, resulting in a lower than expected turnout.
