submitted by Fort Saskatchewan RCMP

On the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, members of the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP detachment were dispatched to a rural property in Strathcona County when a woman called police to report that a man was attempting to steal a tractor. Confronted by the complainant’s husband, the man fled from the property. Police commenced patrols in the surrounding area and deployed a member of Police Dog Services. The police dog was able to track the man to a nearby machine shop where he was attempting to hide from police. The man was arrested and taken in to custody by police. He has been identified as 31 year-old Edward Arthur Vallee of Edmonton.

Vallee was wanted on warrants in relation to charges pertaining to the theft of firearms, uttering threats and domestic violence. The charges stem from investigations conducted by members of the Fort Saskatchewan and Morinville RCMP detachments. Vallee is scheduled to make his first appearance in court on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015 in Morinville Provincial Court.

Morinville RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating Vallee who had been eluding police for several weeks.
