Morinville Public School’s 2nd Annual Career Day was held Thursday morning with 12 careers represented and students having the opportunity to select three of the presentations to learn about.

Choices included forensic detective, polygraph administrator, robotics engineer, Red Seal Chef, baker, interior designer, carpenter, veterinarian, tattoo artist, UFC trainer, judge/lawyer, and hair stylist.

Morinville Veterinary Clinic Practice Manager Elyse Prince, Veterinarian Kelli Kinsman, and Registered Veterinary Technologist Penny Isaak brought Jack, the three-legged cat and his x rays as well as Fuzz, the dog. They presented a few scenarios, including a routine vaccination appointment, with the assistance of the students.

ITR Inc. Polygraph Service of St. Albert’s Ken and Lesley Donaldson spoke of the many purposes of a Polygraph examination. They are also featured on the TV HD documentary series The Lie Detective that follows Donaldson’s work as he helps people from all walks of life in their quest for truth.

Andrew Webb Carpentry and Steve Bosch of Jireh Industries were also some of the speakers taking part in career day presentations.
