The Morinville Community Library will be pushing aside some books and other items later this month for their spring Silent Auction fundraiser. The event takes place from Apr. 26 to May 1.

The auction is open through the entire week to bid, check bids and rebid again if necessary. The highest bid by close of the auction is the winning bid. Pasechnik said items could be picked up immediately after the auction ends.

Assistant Library Manager Cheryl Pasechnik said the library has already received many donations for the upcoming auction, but donors can drop off items until 6 p.m. Apr. 22.

“We have awesome items up for bid again, and everything goes to support programs here at the library,” Pasechnik said, noting the last auction netted more than $4,000 for the library’s programming. “It helps support our programs, and we just keep adding to our programs at the library. It’s a good community outlet. A lot of our programs are free to the public. We do have some programs that you have to be a member of the library, but most of them they can just come and join in the fun.”

The auction runs Apr. 26 to Apr. 28 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Apr. 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Apr. 30 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and May 1 from noon until 4 p.m.
