Young entrepreneur
Seven-and-a-half-year-old Aiden Rookes was showing the entrepreneurial spirit with his iced tea and lemonade stand Tuesday afternoon. He told us he made $13.25 on the first hour and a bit. The young businessman built his own table.

RCMP and Peace Officers were checking eastbound and westbound Highway 642 Thursday morning for seat belts and child restraints. Although tickets were issued in some cases, the stop was largely educational, offering parents some pointers on properly securing seats.

The man in black
Morinville’s Gene Gebo packed the cultural centre Friday and Saturday night with his Johnny Cash tribute show. The Rotary Club of Morinville fundraiser drew 350 Friday night and sold out Friday night with 400 seats filled. Rotary President Sheldon fingler said he was beyond pleased with the event’s success.

Trade Show offer variety of activities

More than 1550 people attended the Explore the Wonders Trade Show at the arena over the weekend. Below are soem highlights from the event.

inside the crate was a Terracotta Warrior presented to the Chamber from their Chinese trip hosts, and presented to the Town from the Chamber in memory of Board Mmber Keith Norris, who died Apr. 1.

Dogs were in fashion and high fashion during the Morinville Veterinary Clinic’s dog grooming contest. Bibble the Pomeranian was the winner.
